Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know before planning a batch inquiry—from how our flavor-guessing concept works to summer shipping and Minneapolis studio pickup.

The Flavor Mystery & Dietary Questions

Why don’t you publish exact flavors or ingredient lists on the website?

Bellglass Confections grew out of an unlabeled bell jar passed around a Minneapolis dining table: can you guess the flavor at first bite? When people read a literal checklist ahead of time, they stop paying close attention to how a piece evolves on the palate. Keeping exact compositions unpublished preserves that shared table conversation—watching a bright opening shift into warm, roasted, or tangy territory halfway through.

What if I or a guest has food allergies or specific dietary restrictions?

Please ask us directly before placing an order! Mention any allergies, sensitivities, or dietary preferences in the Message box of our Order Request Form or call us at +1 (612) 872-6257. We will check our kitchen notes and tell you privately which batches are suitable—and whether any cross-contact considerations apply in our small shared studio—without spoiling the flavor surprise for the rest of your group.

Are your candies super sweet, sour, or novelty “shock” flavors?

Never shock or prank flavors. Every piece is meant to be genuinely enjoyable for discerning adults—balanced in sweetness, layered with contrasting bright, toasted, or aromatic impressions, and pleasant alongside coffee, tea, or quiet evening conversation.

Can I ask for a sealed “answer card” inside my box if my guests insist on knowing afterward?

While we never include ingredient sheets, if you are hosting a dinner tasting and request it in your inquiry note, we are happy to tuck a wax-sealed envelope with brief sensory tasting notes from the candy maker so your group can compare impressions at the end of the night.

Batch Inquiries, Pickup & U.S. Shipping

Why do you use an Order Request Form instead of an instant online checkout?

We work in six- to eight-pound copper kettle pours rather than stocking a third-party warehouse. Reviewing requests directly lets us match your order to a fresh pour week, verify warm-weather shipping conditions to your state, and confirm exact packaging options before any payment is arranged.

How quickly do you respond to batch inquiries?

We check studio messages twice daily Monday through Saturday (between morning and afternoon kettle runs) and typically reply from info@lumzari-world.shop within one business day.

Is there a minimum order size?

For standard current-edition tins, jars, or six-piece lollipop boxes, you are welcome to request as little as a single tin or one Curated Mystery Flight. For custom color palettes tailored to a private dinner or milestone event, a full single-kettle batch (~6.5 lbs, yielding roughly 18 tins or 65 sculpted lollipops) applies.

Can I pick up locally in Minneapolis, or do you ship nationwide?

Both! Confirmed local orders can be picked up by appointment at our Whittier studio at 2741 Blaisdell Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55408. We also pack and ship cushioned parcels across the United States, timing dispatches early in the week so boxes do not sit in warm transit hubs over a weekend.

Care, Shelf Life & Presentation

How should I store my lollipops and hard candy drops once they arrive?

Keep them sealed in their original tins, gasketed jars, or cellophane wraps in a cool, dry cupboard at normal room temperature (62°F–74°F) away from direct sunlight and steam. Avoid the refrigerator—condensation will dull the glass finish as soon as chilled candy meets room air. See our full storage guide for seasonal tips.

Why do two pieces from the same jar sometimes show slightly different swirl patterns?

Every rope, ribbon, and spherical pour is stretched, folded, and sheared by hand during a three-minute cooling window. Subtle variations in stripe width, facet edge, or cosmic filament movement are the natural signature of small-kettle handwork.
